High Desert Baptist Association Leadership

High Desert Baptist Association is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Dr. Charles Speelman

Director of Missions

I am a native of Northern California and have lived in the High Desert since 1989.  My wife Sally and I were married in 1976 and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.  I received the Lord in 1979 and have been serving the Lord in pastoral ministry since 1982.  During this time, I have served as Director of Missions in the High Desert Baptist Association; I have been on staff at two churches and have planted two churches.  Internationally I have been leader of more than 60 short term missions teams and trained many pastors.  I have been overseer of the efforts of two pastoral networks.  Locally I have co-facilitated the pastoral prayer network in the Victor Valley area and continue to serve as a member and elder at The Gate Church of the High Desert in Victorville, CA.
